tea party!

What comes before Part B? Part A!

OK I'm done. So our search to find a cute little tea house, my roommate and I found MadHadder which apparently is this really famous tea house featured  in Time magazine and Rachael Ray featured it and so forth. I thought the fact that it was run by gangsters dropped the appeal for me a few notches but whad you gunna do?

Funny thing is we were looking at the prices on the menu before we got there said it said  8.99 for an ounce of tea. In my mind I could only think of 30ml which is half a formula bottle and Christie could only think of 3, 10 ml saline flush syringes. Funny how work intertwines in daily life. LUCKILY that was the price for the tea to buy and take home, but scarey thing is we were willing to pay 9 dollars for an itsy bitsy (half a tiny formula bottles) thing of tea.

planetarium / clubbin

Those smiling faces are the faces of two girls about to see a Harry Potter inspired show at the Planetarium. Little did we know the tickets we bought online were for the SAN ANTONIO college in CALIFORNIA. We got there a little late but the line was still long and there was no Harry Potter show listed on the show times so we were thoroughly confused. Anyways the professor gave us free tickets to that nights show EXTREME PLANETS for being a couple of IDIOTS and we even won commemorative  planetarium 50th year aniversary gold coins for also being, you know. I was pretty stoked about the coins as you can see.

And what do you do after you hit up the local Planetarium? Hit up the local club that apparently is exclusively for peeps aged 40+ from 10pm-11pm. Oh well, we partied hard, and I enjoyed my Roy Rodgers.  All in all a good night.

my baby

I did it!! I finally bought myself a KitchenAid Stand Mixer that I've been wanting ever since Alton Brown changed my life! Now I can make ANYTHING and EVERYTHING and anything and everything I will make. Pretty much the happiest day of my life. And the colors not to bad neither.

iceceam

Here's the thing. We all get cravings.  But for some of us, these cravings are more that just that. They become these uncontrollable urges that consume  your every waking thought and every fiber of your being pulls you to consume said craving and will not relent uuntil that void is filled. But today that craving took on a new form. scarey almost. I was awoken around 0630 with the strongest craving for Dairy queen soft serve vanilla ice cream cone i have ever had in my entire life. And with my eyes still blurry from morning goobers I scrambled for my phone and google maped the nearest dairy queen. driftng in and out of counsousness it became apparent that there was not one near enough at the moment, the fact that none would even be open at that time did not cross my fog encrusted mind. anyways I fall back into my pillow and suffer through an entire day longing for that soft serve ice cream cone. Of course I texted this to my roomate and long story short that night a knock on my door brought my heart the greatest joy it could possbly endure for i thought it would burst. There, dripping from Texas' humidity, was in all its glory, a vanilla ice cream cone just for me from the bestest roommate in the whole wide world!!!!

Tubing

Tubing on the Comal. When I say tubing, I mean sitting listlessly in your stationary tube in a motionless "river" listening to drunkards and Cletuses sing with their makeshift stereos floating beside them, blasting there country music. And despite that fact that my posse, not double date,  deserted me for over an hour to go down the fun rapids, I had a pretty darn tootin fun time, I'll tell you what.

I remained the only one that didn't slip and fall into the river while trying to get in or out. I got the steady footing of a giraffe.

YAY!
